yesterday i had the first swim of the summer at meech lake.
its just too bad i look like a heroin addict now due to all the black flies eating me. ugh. :(
nevertheless, beaching needs to become a regular thing from now on! we need to start a team of some sort.

this past week has consisted of:
-frequent visits to so good
-birthday parties
-seeing alkaline trio and lawrence arms on saturday
-being dragged into the cold weather to the tulip festival..luckily it turned into a great night after all after running into team b & b
-and of course doing tons of time in the purple prison.
since my shopaholic tendencies have gotten out of control again, i'm going to take action. i've decided to take out a certain amount of money at the beginning of the week and work through the next six days only with the cash i have on me. the deadly debt card will have to be hidden somewhere until pay day comes along again.

its been awhile since a real update.
i got a promotion at work. the big boss is scary and he already yelled at me today.
but my manager told him off and that he "knows better than to make nice people cry".
ha
so...i guess that means i'll be doing some full-time at the purple prison this summer. at least most of the shifts will be during the day, so i will also have a life.
however, school is killing me. one seminar and four papers due, all within the span of a week and a half.
its too bad the beautiful weather is so distracting.
i spent the entirety of yesterday outside walking around everywhere and it was just fantastic. everyone just seemed to be in such a good mood.
8 days till spring and 12 till my birthday.
soon it'll be summertime and beach parties galore.

reading week went by way too fast.
great times in toronto always make it very depressing to come back here.

instead i will focus on the good- i got to spend some quality time with sister, and bought copious amounts of unneeded clothes in the process.
tomorrow i am bringing my resume to american apparel because when i was in there today, the manager told me to apply. why, i do not know. what i do know is that it would be a lot sweeter to work there than the purple prison that is sugar mountain.
there are a million school-related things i should be doing right now.
instead i am drinking jackson triggs and reading "fargo rock city".
if my marks are awful at the end of the semester, this entry will be proof of that. |

so i have been back in burrito rapids for the past few days and it couldn't be more any more boring. if this were at least spring it would be a different story, but in the dead of winter the list of things to do here runs out way too quickly.
yesterday i went to brockville just for the hell of it. my sister ended up dragging me into the godawful urban planet store and we spent maybe 45 minutes in there, out of sheer boredom.
at least being trapped on the island will give me lots of time to catch up on the 1000+ pages of reading that i need to have done for next week. oh the fun of majoring in english.
i will be coming back to the city tomorrow night, so hopefully people are planning on going out!

this is going to be a shitty week.
school is kicking me in the ass once again.
2 midterms and a damn music assignment that i have to finish before 9 tonight.
you wouldn't think it would be difficult to compare the attemtped suicide scenes in 'royal tenenbaums' and 'the hours' on a musical level.

looking back to a year ago, i apparently made a 'love day mix' cd which i still have as a playlist on itunes.
mineral, appleseed cast, etc. even 'valentine' by the get up kids.
it's things like this that really make me laugh at myself.
